If you had a computer crash, skip to Option 2 below. If you're computer is operational, proceed with Option 1 below.
You will first need your serial number. If you do not have this handy, open Separation Studio and go to Help and About. Your serial number will be listed there. Copy and paste this, also file it and save it. This is essentially your software and losing this is losing your access to your software. From there, go to www.softwareforscreenprinters.com If you do not have an account (you will not if you purchased prior to March of 2015), you will need to register and log in.
1. Once logged in, click on Downloads to download Separation Studio on the old computer. This will ensure the software is up to date.
2. Once this is completed, Click on Licensing and Deactivate.
3. Wait 15 minutes to allow the servers to register your serial number as inactive.
4. Go to the new computer, log into www.softwareforscreenprinters.com and download the software. You will be prompted in the installation to plug in your serial number.
If you encounter any issues, use the ticketing form in Option 2 to submit a help ticket.
Transferring your software will not be possible until your serial number is made available to put on a new computer. To do so, you will need to submit a help ticket with Freehand Graphics (the manufacturer of the software) directly here- https://softwareforscreenprinters.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
To do this, you will need your serial number. If you do not know your serial number and you purchased prior to March 2015, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to request your serial number. If you purchased in March 2015 or after, you will need to log onto your account at www.softwareforscreenprinters.com Your serial number will be listed under my account. Once you have your serial number, follow the steps listed in Option 1.
