There are a few reasons why the Ripcore can Pause. Ripcore is the engine that delivers the data to the printer. If the printer is not ready, there's a bad connection cable, or wrong port assignment, or a firewall, that is blocking the services then the Ripcore can Pause.
Anytime the RIP can not resolve a connection issue either port related, cable, or hardware the RIP will Pause and wait for the user to resolve the issue.
Check that the printer is ON and ready to print and there are No Error Messages or red ink lights flashing on the printer. Check the printer cable. Is it the proper cable, USB (6 feet or shorter) or Ethernet?
Is AccuRIP setup properly to connect? Go to the File Menu>SETUP and in the section "how is your printer connected" verify that the proper connection is selected and configured.
Windows Only: If the printer driver has the wrong port assigned to it that can cause the issue as well. Right click the print driver and check its ports. AccuRIP has to be set to AccuRIP Port (standard TCP/IP). You can also delete the driver and rebuild a new one using the AccuRIP SETUP. Firewall software can create a problem, too. If the Firewall software does not give proper permissions to AccuRIP and the RIPCORE, there will be problems printing. For more info search keyword "Firewall" in the 24/7 Answer Center.
Older AccuRIP 1.03 and earlier version:
If using Ethernet IP verify using the EpsonNet Config utility the printer's IP address and make sure AccuRIP is set to that address. All inkjet printers print on port 9100 so leave that alone in AccuRIP.
