Recommended for your 4900
Below are tips that Ryonet recommends for getting the best performance out of your 4900.
Loading Roll Film-
Before loading your roll film, go into the printer setup via the LCD and turn OFF the Paper Size Check and Paper Skew Check options. We have found many customers get an error upon loading film if this is not done. Do the following: Press Right Arrow to enter Printer Setup > Press Right Arrow > Press Down Arrow to Paper Size Check > Press Right > Down for OFF and press ok. Repeat for Paper Skew Check.
We recommend setting up your printer to print a nozzle check prior to every film. You can do this by pressing the Right Arrow to Printer Setup > Press Right Arrow > Press Down Arrow until AUTO NOZZLE CHECK is selected > Press Right Arrow > Arrow to ON: EVERY JOB. This takes up minimal ink and film, and will keep you in the know of how your printer is performing.
Auto Clean Features-
Your printer arrives to you with an auto cleaning feature turned on which can cause frequent and potentially unneeded cleanings. To change the number of times you perform an auto cleaning, press down arrow to highly AUTO CLEANING TIMES > Right arrow > Press Down Arrow to Decrease the number of auto cleanings your printer will perform. NOTE: If this function is turned off without turning on the auto nozzle check feature above, your printer may become subject to clogging. This can result in wasted ink or worse- permanent damage to the printer’s print head.
Extended Warranty through Epson-
Your film output printer is at the core of your screen printing success- without a great film, you cannot have a great shirt. We recommend that you get the extended warranty on any printer you use for you film output needs to ensure that any issue that could arise, will result in less time and money invested on your part down the road.
